Call for Collaboration: Teaching Artist – Flute
Location: Larnaca Nucleo
Collaboration Type: Service Agreement (hourly remuneration)
Commitment: ~5 hours per week over 2 teaching days (Tuesdays and Thursdays)
Start date: January 8th
Role Overview
Sistema Cyprus is seeking a Flute Teaching Artist to join our team in Larnaca and support the development of our wind programme. The ideal collaborator is passionate about music education and believes in the power of music to empower and connect young people from diverse backgrounds.
Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging group lessons for beginner and intermediate young flute students
- Support ensemble rehearsals and woodwind sectionals as required
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive learning environment where every student feels valued
- Collaborate with the Artistic Director on lesson and repertoire planning
- Participate in internal coordination meetings (paid hours)
- Stay informed about effective, innovative music pedagogy
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Music or Music Performance (Flute)
- Experience teaching music to children and/or young people
- Commitment to the values and mission of music-for-social-impact programmes
Desirable Qualifications
- Familiarity with El Sistema-inspired pedagogy
- Experience working in community music contexts
- Experience supporting young people with varied educational, social, or emotional needs

Phase 1 – Pre-Selection
